Clinical Consultancy & Supervision

Colin is an experienced clinical supervisor and psychological consultant, having worked with as a psychologist with community mental health teams and CAMHS teams within the NHS. Colin has provided supervision and consultancy for a range of mental health professionals including psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, social workers, psychologists and counsellors. He has also worked as a supervisor for counselling trainees with Bournemouth and Poole College and for counselling psychology trainees. Additionally, he has provided consultation to non mental health professionals such as GPs, occupational health nurses and junior doctors.

As a psychologist, Colin is ideally placed to provide consultation on all psychological aspects of your clinical work. His particular areas of expertise are around attachment and existential issues and his interests lie within the following areas:

• Personality Disorder
• Self-harming or other destructive behaviour
• Survivors of sexual abuse
• Schizophrenia
• Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
• Anger and Alcohol issues
• Pain Management
• Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

• Anxiety and Panic Disorder
• Major Depressive Episodes

Colin can provide consultations in various formats, including the following:

• Facilitative group supervision - where he will faciliate and inform peer discussion
• Case presentations - on particular client groups and/or ways of working (e.g. CBT, existential)
• One-to-one consultations for you to use as you wish
